ABOUT ME
My personal breastfeeding journey started with the home birth of my first son in 2003. Like many mothers I struggled with breastfeeding. I found La Leche League (LLL), what a blessing in disguise! With the help I was given, I knew this was the path for me to help other mothers. I became a peer to peer breastfeeding counselor within the LLL organization.
In 2005 my second son was born via an emergency cesarean delivery,14 weeks early! I learned so much about lactation & breastfeeding a premature baby. In 2008, this evolved into working in the hospital where he was born as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I studied and learned more about human lactation and I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2009.

My experience with two very different breastfeeding situations has fueled my passion to help all mothers meet their specific lactation and breastfeeding goals. I graduated from Union Institute & University in 2015 with my Bachelors of Science in Maternal Child Health with an emphasis in Human Lactation.

My husband Brian & I have been married for 24 years; we have two sons, Erik & Neil. I love spending time with them outdoors. I enjoy music, reading and movies. One of my personal goals is to visit as many zoos, aquariums, nature centers and National Parks in the USA.
